The sad truth is seeing a cycle does not assure profit.
Traders need a profit-taking strategy so cunning that they could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel.
Boz Scaggs sang a song about recognizing "the sad truth, the dirty low down". The low down on cycles is the same as on many things: Simply knowing when a cycle returns may not add money to your pocket. Traders need to create a plan which makes money from knowing that cycle. Sometimes no strategy can be devised that can make money from knowing that cycle.
Nevertheless, I vote for cycles being The Holy Grail of Investing. That is my philosophy.

And I brought it in the form of the short-term basal price cycle.
